In addition to supporting confidence, improved outcomes and skills, a strong coach guides you towards the skills and strategies for self-assessment to carry on in your practice going forward. Dr. Kiefer works with general practitioners, specialty surgeons, students, interns and residents. She can provide individual coaching remotely or on-site, or on-site team coaching. She offers RACE-approved CE credit for training sessions. She is known for her respect, compassion and advocacy. Research Mentorship
Dr. Kiefer is passionate about advancing veterinary and human medicine, while providing opportunities for growth and advancement of veterinary professionals. Not all professionals choose an academic route to accomplish their goals, and they may struggle to find the support, experience and time investment to complete studies or publications required or encouraged along their journey. Dr. Kiefer can provide mentorship and guidance in this realm, for those desiring added support or expertise. Please reach out to her at helpatvetssmart@gmail.com to discuss your needs and goals.
Tutelage/Teaching
Dr. Kiefer understands the struggles of passing and preparing for board exams, even in a structured, well developed academic environment. She has explored many strategies and techniques for studying and preparing to conquer the rigorous and intimidating exams we are faced with. If you are struggling to prepare or pass, and need an encouraging advocate to work through the struggle, she would be honored to provide coaching and assistance to reach your goals. Please reach out to her at helpatvetssmart@gmail.com to discuss further.
Dr. Kiefer also understands the struggles of the veterinary profession and personal well-being. She appreciates the limited time our profession allows us to personally develop skillsets that can be so critical to maintaining a healthy and positive relationship with the profession and our colleagues. In an effort to provide succinct, applicable resources that you can review in minutes, she established Book Rounds, a summary/review of books that provide information often neglected, but incredibly valuable to our profession. She covers a wide range of topics. If you are interested, pop over to the blog page for all the current summaries! A list of keywords, or the search feature, can help you identify specific topics if you are looking for a more concise list. She is on a never-ending quest of learning, so if you have a book to recommend, or would like a book reviewed, please feel free to pass on your recommendation at helpatvetssmart@gmail.com! She trades you chocolates for valuable recommendations!
